Frequently Asked Questions
Why don’t you list available yards for each color?
With our standard color range, most colors can be dyed in a matter of hours to days. We do not want you to feel limited by an inventory number when ordering. If you need a quantity over 10 yards for one color, or have a specific timeline, feel free to reach out before ordering.
Are your colors accurately depicted on the website?
We photograph and edit colors to the best of our ability, however individual monitors and screens vary. Lighting conditions can also affect how color appears. If you are unhappy with a color once it arrives, please refer to our refunds and exchange policy.
What type of fabric do you use?
All Saturation Point Studio fabric is high quality 100% cotton suitable for quilting, sewing, and fiber art. Our base cloth is chosen for its ability to absorb dye evenly and hold rich, saturated color.
Are your fabrics hand dyed?
Yes. All fabrics are hand dyed in small batches. This process creates depth and variation that cannot be replicated with commercial dyeing methods.
Will colors vary from batch to batch?
Yes, slight variations are natural and expected with hand dyed fabric. While we work to maintain consistency within our standard palette, no two dye lots will be exactly the same. If matching a previous purchase is important, please contact us before ordering.
How should I care for hand dyed fabric?
All dyed fabric is washed at a temperature that stops the dyeing process and then washed again. However, some excess dye, like with commercially dyed fabric, may release with the first wash. We recommend washing fabric separately in cold water with a mild detergent before use. After that, fabric can be washed with like colors.
